Woodgate Valley Country Park

A country park that is close to the heart of the city.

Birmingham residents are blessed to have so many fantastic parks located close to the city centre. Woodgate Valley Country Park is less than 10 miles from the heart of Birmingham and has plenty on offer for families.

Woodgate Valley Country Park offers easy family walks, regular events and activities and plenty of amenities – you can even have a go at horse riding! Read on for more information about Woodgate Valley Country Park.

Hole Farm Riding Centre

Hole Farm Riding Centre is a British Horse Society approved riding school and pony centre club.
Offers 30-minute rein-lead rides suitable for beginners and young children aged four and over.
Also provides novice hacks suitable for riders who are new to the centre or those who can walk and trot independently.
More advanced riders can take part in canter hacks.
Also offer riding lessons.

Woodgate Valley Urban Farm

Woodgate Valley Urban Farm with lots of animals to meet!
Animals at the farm include sheep, Pygmy goats, mini pigs, geese, ducks, turkeys, hens and rabbits.
The farm is open all year round form 10:30am to 4pm during October to May and from 10:30am to 5pm in June to September.
Cost of entry is £1 per adult (please bring exact change.)

Children’s Play Area

Children’s play area with a play structure and slide, plus a swing.
Area is fenced, making it ideal for young children.
Located just outside the visitor centre.

Dedicated walking tracks and cycle paths

Eight miles of walking path to walk.
Try all three of the marked routes, which start and finish at the visitors centre.
The Green Route is one mile, the red route is two miles and the yellow route is two and a half miles – you can read more about them here.

Amenities include a café, visitor centre and free car parking!
There are toilets, including disabled access toilets.
