Whether you need some inspiration for your garden or want to keep the kids entertained for a few hours, Whitlenge Gardens and Tearooms has you covered.

Whitlenge Gardens and Tearooms is a unique nursery and gardens that has plenty for children too. From fairy gardens, to a children’s play area and a secret garden, Whitlenge is worth a visit for families and gardening gurus alike.

Nursery and plants for sale

  • Come in and view a huge variety of perrenials, alpines, herbs and fruit trees.
  • Even has a drive-in nursery in which you can load your car up practically at the door!
  • Also has a range of ornaments and other garden accessories.

  • Gardens

  • Whitlenge has a number of beautiful, impeccably landscaped gardens that include the Water Garden, the Bog Garden, which has a Sword in the Stone water feature, plus the Crocodile/Wildflower Walk.
  • A visit to the Secret Gardens is an absolute must!
  • Cost of entry to the Secret Garden is £3.50 for adults and £1.50 for children aged 3 and over. There is no charge for children aged 3 and under.
  • The Secret Garden is wheelchair and pushchair friendly.

    Tea Room and Gift Shop

  • Enjoy hot and cold food made with locally source and organic produce.
  • Serves organic and fair trade tea and coffees.
  • Also serves sweet treats, all-day breakfasts and vegetarian options.
  • The gift shop serves a range of items that includes giftware, arts and crafts and Fairtrade items, plus a range of sweets!

  • Children’s Play Area

  • The children’s play area has some exciting features, including ‘The Cave’ and a turf labyrinth!
  • The children’s area also has a blackboard and living willow tunnel.

    Fairy Garden

  • The Fairy Garden is located in the Tea Room.
  • Come and see the fairies or take them home with you to start your own fairy garden!

  • Birthday parties

    If you are thinking of having a birthday party for your little one, Whitlenge has a room for hire and a full party tea. The cost is £9.50 per child that includes pass-the-parcel, a treasure hunt in the garden and party bags.

    Regular Events

  • Whitlenge runs a number of events, including Halloween, Christmas, craft sessions and more.
  • There is even a special visit from Vikings at certain times during the year!
