Violetís Tea Room, Bridgnorth

by BecSorby (follow)
A delightful 1940s themed tea room that has a play area for the kids!

An afternoon tea without the kids is such a lovely ideaÖ.but one that is not always possible. If you are like me and find child-minding opportunities hard to come by, you will usually end up taking the children along with you to social occasions.

Thankfully there are places like Violetís Tea Room in Bridgnorth. They serve delightful afternoon teas, plus delicious coffee and cake Ė and they have a childrenís play room.

For me these are the best places to take my children, as it means they welcome us with open arms! It is also nice knowing that the children can play away from the masses and are not disturbing other diners.

Violetís Tea Room is open seven days a week and will take you back to the 1940s! From the elegant interior, to the gorgeous crockery and beautiful views, this place is a nostalgic look back in time.

They even run Ď1940s weekendsí on a regular basis Ė come along and hear popular songs from the war time era! Get dressed in your best 40s gear and enjoy tea and cake for an afternoon.

The childrenís play room is decorated with Alice in Wonderland motifs and has a variety of games and toys for the kids, such as dolls and accessories and a big tea set. They even have a childrenís menu that includes small meals and drinks for the kids. You can even request a childrenís version of the afternoon tea.

Violetís serves a range of meals including sandwiches and paninis, jacket potatoes, soup and the vintage, three-tiered afternoon tea, with coffee, tea, sandwiches and cakes.

There are baby change facilities and high chairs, along with plenty of space for the pushchair. If you are looking to meet with friends and have the kids in tow, Violetís Tea Room is definitely one to check out!
