The Party Lab

by BecSorby (follow)
Messy and sensory play for children aged 5 and under.

The Party Lab specialises in messy play for kids aged up to 5 years. The kids can get messy at their classes so they don’t make a mess at home!

The Party Lab knows how important play and mess are to learning. Messy play is also known as sensory play, and The Party Lab sessions are designed to enhance the senses through, well, mess! If you’ve never been to a messy play session, here is what the Party Lab offer for families.

Messy stations

Each of the ‘Messy Stations’ set up at a Party Lab session give children an opportunity to play with messy things such as play dough and sand, plus dry foods such as rainbow rice and spaghetti. They also do things such as planting seeds and anything else that involves mess and sensory play. Plus, it wouldn’t be messy play without some painting! The sessions concentrate on a theme, such as nature, or themed according to special occasions such as bonfire night.

Sensory Play

Sensory play is anything that stimulates the senses - sight, sound, touch and smell (plus taste, in the case of babies and toddlers) and helps children develop their cognitive skills. Sensory play is an opportunity for children to touch and feel and get their hands on a range of materials that help them learn about different textures, music and sounds and smells.

Cool Crafts

The Party Lab offers messy crafts such as painting, play dough and making things! Some activities might include making a hat or a mask, painting pine cones and leaves and using every parent’s favourite item of craft - GLITTER!

Private birthday parties

The Party Lab can organise a special birthday party for your child. Each party is tailored to suit your needs and the needs of your child and is guaranteed to be a unique event! Get in touch with the Party Lab here to discuss your party needs.

Special event sessions

Easter, Valentines Day, Guy Fawkes and Bonfire Night, Halloween and Christmas are all well-celebrated events in the UK, and the Party Lab runs a number of special sessions to coincide with these events. Expect some festive arts and crafts at these sessions!

They also offer sessions for Mothers Day and Fathers Day, in which children might make little presents for mummy and daddy, so book early!
