What better way to spend a winter’s day than ice skating? It’s already cold, so you might as well rug up and warm up with some skating at Silver Blades Ice Rinks, Solihull. There’s heaps of family activities happening all year round. Here’s what’s on.
Ice Skating for children from walking age
If your child can walk, they can have a go at ice skating! Silver Blades Ice Rink runs the Penguin Club, an exclusive skating session for children aged from walking stage up to four years and their parents. There is no need to book, just turn up – the sessions run on Fridays during term time between 4pm and 5pm and during holidays from 4:15pm to 5pm.
Gather the family and get your disco skates on every Friday night! Family Fridays at are a fun way to wind down after a long week at school and work – have a skate while listening to some great music. Penguin skate aids are available for hire.
All birthday party packages include an hour of skating, a dedicated party host, food and drink, skate hire, penguin skate aids and more! It’s a memorable way to celebrate a birthday or other special occasion.

Solihull Barons Ice Hockey
Come and cheer on the Solihull Barons! Ice hockey is fast-paced, exciting sport you can watch with the family. Tickets are £8 for adults and £6 for children, with family tickets available.
