I have a 4.5-year-old son who has been potty trained since aged 2 but still requires nappy pants through the night. I spoke to my Health Visitor who basically said that this is very common and that a medical referral for further investigation would not happen until age 7. She advised lifting him during the night for a week or 2 to take him to the toilet and if this did not mean dry nappies in the morning then we should just leave it for another while as his body is not ready. We don't make an issue of it as his 2-year-old sister is fully potty trained with no night time wetting.
