A whole new world of LEGO has come to Birmingham!
Everyone’s favourite little bricks can make just about everything, but the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre will show you what LEGO can
really do!
The centre was opened on 6 July 2018, and has been designed for children aged between 3 and 10 years. Activities include family rides, LEGO build and play zones and MINILAND, which houses some of the UK’s favourite attractions made from LEGO. There’s even a 4D cinema!
Any young fan of LEGO will be thrilled by this new attraction. If you’re thinking of paying a visit, here’s what’s on at the LEGO Discovery Centre in Birmingham.

MINILAND
There are over 1.5 million bricks at MINILAND. That is a lot of LEGO. This interactive LEGO zone will showcase the country’s best attractions, all made from LEGO!
Family Attractions
LEGOLAND has a heap of family activities that are all about, well, LEGO! Below is a snapshot of some of the things that you can do as a family.
Kingdom Quest – A ride for the whole family! Hop on a chariot and free the captured princess!
Merlin’s Apprentice Ride – ride around and around and reach for the skies! Suitable for children 90cm and over (children at a height of 90cm to 120cm must be accompanied by an adult.)
4D Cinema – watch a short LEGO film in the incredible 4D Cinema! Movies are around 20-30 minutes duration. Be careful – you will get wet!

Get Creative!
It wouldn’t be a LEGOLAND Discovery Centre without an opportunity to build something from LEGO! There are a number of ways to get creative, which are noted below:
LEGO Duplo Farm – Little builders are welcome to make their own masterpiece at the LEGO Duple Farm.
Creative Workshops – come along and see the Master Model Builder make anything from LEGO! You can join in at any time during your visit. Don’t forget to listen out for tips and tricks about LEGO!
LEGO City Builder – the kids can build their very own Miniland!
LEGO Racers: Build and Test Zone – an area that is just as it sounds! Create a LEGO Masterpiece and then test it in the test zone.

LEGO City Soft Play
Yep – has a soft play area!
Children must be between 3 and 5 feet tall to enter and must be supervised by an adult.

Coffee Shop
All that playing and building is hard work….for mum and dad!
Stop by the Café for tea, coffee, snacks and sandwiches.
There are also meal deals and plenty of sweet treats to enjoy.
LEGO Shop
Just can’t get enough of LEGO? A trip to the LEGO Store is a must!
No ticket required, simply pop in when you like.
The LEGO Store stocks the latest products and limited edition items, plus has a special zone for the kids to make their own mini figure!

Other information about visiting the Centre
Pre-booking is strongly advised. Some attractions do get fully booked, so follow this link to make sure you don’t miss out.
Prepare to spend around 2 to 3 hours exploring the centre.
Strollers and pushchairs are welcome.
The centre has a family bathroom and baby change facilities.
