This interactive re-imagination of Hans Christian Andersenís classic tale brings you a trove of secrets and surprises that will delight, excite and charm.

The Festival Of Light on Sunday 17th December is an accessible, large-scale, multi-faith lantern procession guided through the towns centre, engaging local schools, families and community groups.

An action packed family activity day including a trail to visit Santa, a Christmas campfire and a festive lunch.

Family and friends gather together and take part in a 5k run or 2k stroll to raise funds for children with life limiting illnesses.

St James will come alive with carols as the Carol Service welcomes the local community.

A Christmas market for the whole family returns for another year.

Treat yourself to a hot drink and mince-pie from the tearoom (charges apply for food and drink) and join-in with a communal sing song to welcome in the festive season!

Step back in time and witness a traditional Victorian Magic Lantern Show.
