Only Human Therapy has teamed up with Mums4Mums, a local support group, to offer a FREE, one-off workshop for mums who suffer from mental illness along with juggling the all encompassing job of being a parent. The workshop will take place on Friday, 1 December 2017 from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the Hippodrome.

Children and babies are welcome to come too, which saves you having to think about childcare, and limits your excuses not to come! Although they are still your responsibility, toys and crafts will be available to keep them entertained.

The aim of this event is to bring together mums who struggle with ongoing mental health issues as well as those affected by Post Natal Depression (PND). PND is far more common than people think and only now are women starting to talk about it and seeking support through peer groups and therapy.

If you, or any friends would benefit from this workshop then feel free to come along. Some topics to be covered include:

Psychoeducation
Relaxation Exercises
Coping Strategies
Worksheets
Group Exercises
Discussion, Q&A session

The hope is that attendees come away feeling more relaxed, competent and knowledgable. Hopefully you'll make some new friends in the process too!
