by BecSorby (follow)
This top day out with the family is only an hour away from Birmingham

Are you looking for some fantastic spots for a day trip from Birmingham with the kids? Look no further than Manor Farm Park! Located around 50 minutes from the Birmingham City Centre by car, Manor Farm Park is absolutely busting with things for the whole family to do.

There are numerous play areas for children, nature walks and trails, places to eat and drink and…..the animals, of course! Here’s what’s on at Manor Farm Park.

The Farm

Manor Farm Park has a variety of animals to meet and greet at the Animal Barn, including donkeys, goats and ponies. The park also offers donkey rides, and has an exhibit called Hoots Hollows, which showcases a collection of owls from all around the world! Most of the animals have been rescued, and you can ‘adopt’ an animal, which you can read more about here.

Children’s Play Areas

Manor Farm Park has an indoor play barn – perfect for those rainy, wintery days when you just need to get out of the house. The play barn has a pirate ship, spooky castle with lots of little nooks and crannies to explore, soft play for babies and even pedal karts and a pedal tractor!

The park is also home to an adventure play fort, which has a tower and fort for children to climb in and out and explore. There is also a climbing frame, slides and swings.

The more adventurous family members can have a go at the tyre game, the trim trail or even the balance wire. After the Adventure Play Fort you will find the Nature Trail and lake, or you catch take a ride aboard Ernie the Milk Float!

If that is simply not enough for the kids, the park also has a play area just for toddlers that includes age appropriate play equipment, plus sand play.

Places to eat and drink

Gallery Tea Bar – located in the play barn, the Gallery Tea Bar is ideal for parents who want to relax while the kids have a play.
Old Barn Coffee Shop – you can purchase lovely coffee and teas, plus cold drinks and freshly made snacks at the Old Barn Coffee Shop.
Picnic areas – why not bring your own picnic to the park? There are numerous picnic spots around Manor Farm Park to enjoy your own packed lunch, morning or afternoon tea.

Activities at the Lake

There is lots to do at the lake! You can try your hand at pond dipping, check out the observation hide, let the kids loose in the sand play or have a wander through the nature trail.

The price includes invites, catering, a free gift for each guest and a free pass for a return visit for each guest. Each party lasts for two hours and additional children can attend for a price of £11.00 each.

Guests will enjoy an animal activity such as a donkey ride, time in the Animal Chat Room or hold an owl, plus will feed the ducks! Parties also include a ride on Ernie the Milk Float, some free time at the Fort Adventure Play Area and Pirate Ship and whizz around on the Go-Karts.
