It's the start of the festive season, and that means it's time for the community to gather for Christmas carols around the city.

There are plenty of places to enjoy a singalong around Birmingham that are family friendly and suitable for all ages.

Bournville Christmas Festival
Bournville Village Green, Birmingham
Date: Saturday, 1 December from 12pm

Christmas carols and music from the Bournville Carillon.
Lots of festive activities including food and craft stalls.
Father Christmas will also be paying a visit.

Inclusive Christmas Carols
Nightingale Club, Kent Street, Birmingham, B5 6RD
Date: Sunday, 2 December from 4pm

Join in the carols with Eeek, a locally based all-female acoustic soul band.
Come and enjoy a mince pie and cup of mulled wine.

Carols on the Village Green
Holloway Hall, Birmingham, B31 1TT
Date: Sunday, 9 December from 4pm

A community event for all ages and supported by Northfield Notes Community Choir.
Come along to Holloway Hall for a free hot chocolate and mince pie.

Christmas Carol Concert, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire
Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, 200 Jennens Road, Birmingham, B4 7XR
Monday, 10 December from 1pm

Join in the popular annual carol concert at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
There will be festive activities and audience participation is encouraged.

Birmingham Carol Service, St Martin in the Bull Ring

Date: Saturday, 15 December at 12pm

Join acclaimed brass group Bold’z Brass for an afternoon of carols.
Light refreshments will also be available.

Date: Sunday, 16 December from 6pm

Jazz Carols at St Martin in the Bull Ring
Edgbaston Street, Birmingham, B5 5BB
Sunday, 16 December from 4:30pm

Hosted by Jazz Community Church.
Traditional carols with a jazz twist.
There will be big band music, singing, stories and readings.

Christmas with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra
Symphony Hall, Birmingham, B1 2EA
Dates: Sunday 16 December at 3pm, Tuesday, 18 December at 7:30pm, Wednesday 19 December at 7:30pm

Tickets between £13 and £52 including ticket commissions.
Join the CBSO, guest presenters and a whole family of choruses for an opportunity to sing along to Christmas music, both old and new!

Christmas Carol Singalong
Symphony Hall, Birmingham, B1 2EA
Date: Sunday, 23 December at 2:30pm

Tickets between £13 and £42.50 including per ticket commission.
Irrepressible showman Jonathan Cohen returns to lead you through another fun-filled jamboree of carols and favourite Christmas hits.
The show will be supported by Soprano Rowan Pierce, conductor Michael Bawtree, Canzonetta and Mozart Festival Orchestra in full period costume.
