Birmingham and its surrounds are home to some fantastic farms for kids!
There is something magical about watching children and animals interact. Perhaps it is their mutually innocent nature and curiosity towards each other creates a special bond, and most children gain such joy from petting and feeding animals.
My three-year-old daughter recently met and fed some wallabies, and absolutely loved the experience. The West Midlands is full of fantastic farms that are perfect for children. Here is where to find them.
Ash End House Children’s Farm Middleton Lane, Middleton, Near Tamworth, Staffordshire, B78 2BL
0121 329 3240
Ash End House Children’s Farm is home to lots of animals including ducks, hens, chicks, goats, sheep, rabbits and pigs!
There are loads of activities for the kids, including outdoor play, the allotment garden and the Big Barn Play soft play centre (it is on the same site as the farm but is separate.)
You can also take a tractor trailer ride, view the Birds of Prey display and take part in some bottle feeding!
There is also a Shire Horse Centre and a café.
You can also host your child’s birthday party at the farm.
The Birmingham Crochet Club meets fortnightly to learn crochet, meet other Birmingham mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
