by BecSorby (follow)
You’ve never seen a collection of sculptures quite like these!

The British Ironworks Centre is a sprawling, 90-acre ground that is home to a unique collection of metal sculptures and fun activities for the whole family.

It is located in Shropshire and is around an hour from the Birmingham City Centre. The centre is not too far from the Black Country Living Museum if you feel like really making a day of your visit! This family-friendly day out features the Eco Safari, in which you can view the sculptures from afar, a Kids Club and even walking trails. It is also FREE to enter (although a charitable donation is appreciated.) Here’s what families can get up to at the British Ironworks Centre.

Sculpture Park

Visit the country’s largest metal safari park!
There are over 100 sculptures on display, including the Iron Guardian, the Knife Angel and the spoon Gorilla, which has been made from 40,000 spoons!
Come and view the latest projects, including Don’t Bin It, Tin it! which is collection of cans collected by various groups – the aim is to create a sculpture of Her Majesty the Queen!
